Jason Rogers was born in Long Island, NY and lived there till he was 5 years old. Him and his family moved to the south FL area and lived there till he started middle school. After residing in South FL for 10 years He made the move to Orlando, FL and has been settled there since. When Jason was younger he wanted to learn to play the drums. When he realized that he was not destined to be a drummer, he decided to try guitar. He ended up trading a childhood friend a baseball card for his very first guitar. Since then he has been playing as much as possible and studying with various mentors throughout his life. With inspiration coming from bands such as The Grateful Dead, Phish, The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, ect.. He continues to write music with The Burnin Smyrnans to the best of his ability and is very excited to see what the future holds with his latest and greatest project. When Jason is not on the road, he likes to keep him self busy writing music on his acoustic guitar and hanging out with family, friends and his dog Casey, of which was the inspiration of The Burnin Smyrnans instrumental tune " Casey's Debut".
